40 years

Yesterday (Saturday) was our 40th wedding anniversary. My husband and kids (two daughters, one son-in-law) had my wedding diamond remounted and added to...much to my amazement. The stone supposedly came lose and was being repaired...but in reality he loosened it enough so as not to arouse my suspicion when it needed to go to the jeweler's. We are the parents of four children - two living and two who died - and grandparents of two who unfortunately live halfway across the country in Lexington, MA. We bought an Andalusian mare for our grandson to ride when he's here...which means he eats, breathes, thinks and dreams 'horse' and is forever lobbying to visit...to stay for the summer...to stay for school holidays..... I wonder if Andrew and Abby ever wanted the daughters to marry, whether Andrew wanted a son or a grandson.

Congratulations, Debbie! 40 years is a long time. What a sweet thing your husband and kids did with your wedding ring! I didn't realize that two of your children passed away, I am so sorry to hear this. Your grandson sounds like a he is in heaven when he can visit.
