This Thursday, August 4th will be the 124th anniversary of the Borden murders. Also, it falls on a Thursday, which is the same day of the week on August 4, 1892. Will anyone do anything to observe? I will probably read some from my Parallel Lives book, and eat a pear.
Oh, Mrs. Churchill, do come over, someone has killed father.

I ordered a black Victorian outfit over 100 years old, and hope it will arrive in time. It's black, of course. Pre leg o mutton sleeves. Severe looking. Menacing. hee hee.

That's awesome. I would love to see pictures of that Victorian dress. It would be a perfect time to wear it on Thursday. :)

We will watch the Legend Of Lizzie Borden and browse Paralell Lives or Rebello book. I think since it is cool and cloudy here I will do some ironing. I am sewing an 1890's dress, but I think I will skip the flat-irons :)
Franz, welcome back! It's good to see you postings again. You have a great idea there for next year.
I didn't do anything out of the ordinary today. Guess, I was busy to doing other things that needed my attention, like preparing for our family reunion that is coming up this weekend. Life still goes on, doesn't it?

You're welcome, Franz. I am doing well, thank you for asking. How are you?
I think you are right - next year could be an exciting experience. If you do visit the house on Second Street, would it also be in your plans to visit Maplecroft as well?

I am fine, twinsrwe, thank you.
If I could go to Fall River next year, I certainly wish to visit Maplecroft as well. But I should say that the Borden house on Second street is more fascinating to me, especially the ... guest room. :-)
"Mr. Morse, when you were told for the THIRD time that Abby and Andrew had been killed, why did you pronounce a "WHAT" to Mrs. Churchill? Why?"
I can see where the guest room at the Second Street house would be the most fascinating for you. Would you be spending the night, in the John Morse room?

That room might have been reserved for that night long time ago.

Good point, Franz. I guess the only way to know for sure, is to call and see if that room is available for August 4, 1917.
It would give me the willies to stay overnight in the John Morse room, knowing that Abby was killed in such a brutal manner there. I guess that is why I would prefer to stay in Bridget's bedroom, although I hear there are ghosts in her room! Sometimes you can't win for losing, ya know?
