2nd Street sight line

Post by camgarsky4 »

MB -- based on the handful of photos I've seen around the Borden home, I've assumed a pretty lengthy sight line from either direction to the Borden home. For example, from both Gorman Paint and Grey's Paint Shops someone looking down the street could relatively clearly see activity around the Borden house. Would you agree?

Also was reading the Day 2 of the Trial chapter in "Case against lizzie borden" describing the field trip the jury took to River Falls. In a newspaper article about the trip, it mentioned that the Borden house was set on a hill when viewed from the intersection of Borden and 2nd. That surprised me. But does it set up a bit?

Any local expertise on how clearly it would have been to see human activity around the Bordens by folks on either end of 2nd would be appreciated!
