What would we like the Hilliard Papers to tell us?

The Fall River Historical Society is still in the process of reviewing, studying and protecting the Hilliard papers donated to the society by the Marshalls family. Hopefully we will all enjoy this new information soon.

What information would you like the papers to give insight on?

My top 3 are:
1) What did Charles Cook discuss with Marshall Hilliard after the Medley interview and before the Preliminary Hearing about the state of the Borden family estate planning?
2) Did the police investigate the Crowe roof hatchet? If so, what were the findings? If not, why not?
3) What tip lead to the police search of the Borden house (Lizzie's bed/lounge in particular) the morning of Aug 6th when the sisters were away at the funeral?

Answers on these three questions could shine a light on motive, murder weapon and murder clothes.......maybe the Hilliard papers will give us those answers!

I'd love to read through this and the Jennings "hip bath" collection

Kat, besides the witness statements, what revelations or documents have come from the Hilliard Papers gift to the historical society? Do u know if additional information might be released in the relatively near future?

I'm sorry, I have no comment. You can send Stef a message inquiry thru the lizzieandrewborden.com website if you like.
I could also suggest the FRHS but not sure if they close up Lizzie in the Fall to get ready for the Holidays. :santa:
