Those little things your children do to show you how much you mean to them, like my daughter being so proud she spent all the money she got for Easter to buy me and my husband presents. She bought me a necklace with a butterfly on it that says MOM, and she bought my husband a watch. Those little handmade pictures and presents the kids make for you at the school. I still have both of my childrens handprints they made with paint in kindergarden with a little poem written beside it.
Sometimes you are discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and wall.
But every day I'm growing up
And soon I'll be so tall
That all those little handprints
Will be hard to recall.
So here's a little handprint
Just so you can say
This is how my fingers looked
One happy yesterday.
BUBBLE BATH....along with lots of steaming hot water and candles.
Beautiful flowers in my garden each spring.
The fact that my son and I still share some of the same interests even though I'm an "old lady". I have been refered to as an overgrown child. ( I still play PS2 games
)
Being so close with both of my sisters and my mother. We talk every day and see each other at least once a week if not more.
That everyone in my family has a great sense of humor. We laugh so much in this house. Laughter is good.
Each new poem or story that I successfully complete and do not end up thinking its a load of shite. I LOVE TO WRITE.
Going for long drives to nowhere in particular, the windows down and the radio playing. We do this alot in the summer. We've ended up as far as 60 miles from home on a nice day. You never know what you're going to see or what you may find to do.
Everyday that I wake up and I am happy to be here, and not depressed.
Ruffle's potato chips and Ranch dip.
Chocolate covered pretzels, preferably the brand from Sarris Candy.

I am thankful for many things too:
My family...they love me no matter what
My friends...they love me no matter what
My dogs...they love me no matter what.
My students...they love....ok... I knew that one would only go so far.
Lizzie...from whence many good things have come.
I am sure I will add more to this list...
Tracy...
