Hey guys and Ladies I need some help I'm looking to find what Lizzie origin meaning for example I'm German also I'm trying to find Lizzie's decendants I want to interview some of them for my book your help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried any of the geneaology sites ? I know a few people from the forum are experts with this kind of stuff.
Also, I am a teacher, so if you would like me to proof any of your work...you know..for grammar..punctuation...spelling...etc., just let me know. I would be glad to help.
Just the other day...last week I think, in another thread (was it Melissa?) posted some sort of link that had at least part of Lizzie's genealogy on it - I believe the thread was "The Name Game"....sounds right anyway....
I checked but I need someone who can tell what the last name is for example my last name is scottish annd I'm sure Borden is english and Morse is irish I believe. But what I am looking for are documents stating where they are from.
"The name of Borden came into England from Normandy with William the Conqueror, and appears on the roll of Battle Abbey as Bordoun. In the early records it appears variously as Bourdon, Burdon, Burden, Bourden, Berden, Birdin and Barden."
The family of Borden in the US came from Kent, England.
One source (this one quoted*) names Matthew as the head of that line (he did not come here), whereas most other genealogies I've looked at name John, and some name John's son, Richard and some name John's other son, John.
It's sort of accepted that the Fall River lineage came from John (in the old country- he moved to Wales), to Richard1 (U.S.), to his son John5.

Well I wouldn't call it trying- unless I misunderstood your request?. Joe did research and completed a Morse genealogy (I helped a bit- we worked together for 3 months) and it can be found in a Hatchet issue, June/July, 2004.
I guess I don't understand.
You are referring to the Morse side?
You can't get farther than Rhody?
Rhoda Morrison, b. Dec. 24, 1800, d. Jan. 15, 1843- does that help you find her family?
