Poor taste? Pshaw, I say!!!
This site contains a 4-1/2 minute audio file on some radio show's visit to the B&B. (The Savvy Traveler, Minnesota Public Radio, in 2002.)
You'll need RealAudio to play the file.

The nerve of this reporter poking fun at us! If we can only get him to lie on the sitting room couch for a few minutes. Heh, heh.
You will recognize a few voices if you have ever made the tour or seen a video on the house. That should include all of us.

Minnesota consumes more rice krispie treats than any other state per capita....
He is not so very charming is he?
Plus-- he is incorrect. After dark?
When I first came to America and I would hear people saying "O Pshaw" I always thought they were saying "opal shaw" and I wondered who this woman was and what she had done to earn a exclamation of disbelief in her name...

I was just explaining about the inaccuracies of the "NURSERY RHYME" about the BordEn murders to my students yesterday. In fact, it was one of my students who brought it up...stating that (in the words of a 7th grade boy...) "it was 'not true' about the number of whacks because it really wasn't that many. They only said 40 & 41 to make it rhyme." I thought besides being right, HE HAS BEEN PAYING ATTENTION !!! YEAH !!!
Tracy...
Tracy...
I'm defying gravity and you can't pull me down.

Silent "P"
I live in Southeast Pennsylvania, and have a bit of Pennsylvania Dutch in my blood. My Grandmom used to say "Oh shaw!" as an exclaimation. And in Lancaster County there is an "Oh Shaw! Motel". I guess we use a silent "P"?
