I know! !Isn't that amazing? I couldn't believe my ears when I listened to that clip. The people who figured out how to translate the recording into actual sound are geniuses.
Thanks, Kristin, that is so amazing and great to finally read the actual story. When I first heard this in a news cast on the radio they spoke about it like was an actual sound recording from that era and not something that we heard now because someone figured out how to play it. It really is fascinating all the leaps and bounds in technology that came about in the 1800s, even the beginnings of television came about then.
