What nations did Lizzie visit? Do we know were she was and for long she stayed on evry place?
I guess she had take the train to Boston, and then to New York for the boat?
Can anyone help me with this?
And on the same subject, what do you think was the reason for this trip?

I like to imagine that Lizzie walked right in front of my childhood home.
I was raised in the family home on The Ile St Louis which was built in 1676--long before Lizzie came to Paris.
She could have crossed Pont Marie and strolled about the Island. My home is on quai d'Anjou which she most certainly would have wanted to stroll down.. She did not do things in a hurry!
Voltaire lived with his mistress in the Hotel Lambert, at 2 quai d'Anjou. This address also housed the Polish royal family for over a century.
The best known address is the Hotel de Lauzun, at 17 quai d'Anjou. It was the home of the duc de Lauzun, a favorite of Louis XIV, until his secret marriage angered Louis, who had him tossed into the Bastille.
Baudelaire lived here in the 19th century, squandering his family fortune and writing poetry that would be banned in France until 1949.
You can see Notre Dame from my bedroom window-- When I was a child I would try and stay awake on Christmas Eve by singing along with the bells which pealed Christmas songs all night long so that I could catch a glimpse of Pere Noel.... I never was able to!
oh Mon Dieu..... Now I am homesick!

Would Lizzie and her Lady friends have someone to meet them at every destination? how did this work? I'm guessing they were pampered on every step of the way? must have been hard for Lizzie to go back to second street after that, not sure if i've read that she went to London? if she did i'm guessing she would have done a lot of the tourist things that are still being done today (unless she slummbed it and went for pie, mash n liquer!) I think it was around back then, did these women have an itinery printed up? I would assume it was all spelt out for them from dining to site seeing, hotels etc, I wonder if Andrew saw a noticiable differance in her when she returned, I wonder if she bragged about her adventures to Abby?
