Laurie Bembenek died

I just noticed from Wikipedia that Laurie Bembenek died last November. I remember when she was captured here in Canada years ago. I watched the movie with Tatum O' Neil. I always figured she was innocent and her husband did it and set her up for it.

Wasn't she the one they called Bambi?

When she was on the run and after her capture, the media tried to make a big deal out if the fact that she had worked as a waitress at a Playboy club, but I think she only worked for a short time.

What was the cause of death?

It says kidney and liver failure, her health went downhill in the last years. she developed hepatitis and became an alcoholic.

Laurie suffered from anxiety from her ordeal and was afraid of confined places. She was going to be on the Dr Phil show and claimed that people from the show would not let out of the room she was in so she jumped out a window, injuring a leg that was later amputated below the knee.
