Mother's Day

Post by Smudgeman »

Happy Mother's Day to all. I am lucky to still have my Mother. I went to her house today and gave her a card and planted some flowers, then I mowed her grass and spruced up her yard. No pear trees however!

Thank You, Scott. Yes, you are very lucky to still have your mother - cherish her while she is still alive for you to cherish.

My mother passed away several years ago, and I still miss her. There are little things that remind me of her or maybe I should say take me back to the day before she died - little things like navel oranges, which was the last thing she ate before she passed on; the blue crystal ball, which I have hanging beside the lamp in my bedroom, that I bought the day before she died because it is the very same blue coloring of my mothers eyes. Little things, big memories...

Being a mother, my husband and I went to see our handicapped son. He, along with the help of his father, had gotten me a planter that has a bunny on it! Bunnies are my favorite animal. He also got some flowers, in some of my favorite colors, to plant in my planter. These things coming from my son, just made my day!
