Can't access it right now. It said try back in an hour. I wonder why Lizzie was on a quilt? A historical quilt featuring big events that happened in certain years? It rings a bell. I think I've seen it before. But I still wanna see it. See how popular Lizzie is?? Almost anything with her name connected to it would sell. I'm surprised nobody has manufactured a hatchet and called it The Lizzie Borden Hatchet - advertising it as the sharpest one made and sold it in hardware stores. It's a natural.

When I worked as the advertising guy at a factory outlet store in the north end of Fall River in the early '80s, I wanted to run a big Lizzie Borden Sale during the first week of August. "Prices CHOPPED!" They didn't go for it. Fall River was still ashamed of Lizzie back then.
I've met Kat and Harry and Stef, oh my!
(And Diana, Richard, nbcatlover, Doug Parkhurst and Marilou, Shelley, "Cemetery" Jeff, Nadzieja, kfactor, Barbara, JoAnne, Michael, Katrina and my 255 character limit is up.)

Thanks, Harry, that was cute! Its a group of quilters that decided to use the Sunbonnet Sue quilt pattern and make Sue doing naughty things, such as Lizzie. My fav was the nude beach Sue.

Well, I persevered and lo and behold there is Sue now!
Thanks Har, that is cute!

I don't "get" the headless Sue which started it all.
What am I missing now? :?:

I think its kind of like the Headless Horseman, its a Sunbonnet Sue for Halloween. My guess is that these quilters are a bit sick of the sticky sweetness attached to this particular quilt pattern and this one quilter did away with Sue's head which opened the floodgates to doing other "nasty" things with her.
