Copycat murder based fiction books
I decided to check out a new series (The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries) and the first book (Real Murders) is all about a librarian whose life never turns out the way she wants it to. She has formed a book reading club (Real Murders) in which the group discusses past murder cases. So far, there are 3 past cases (only 1 of which I'm familiar with) and the 4th case came up while I was eating dinner. Her friend's father and step-mother are dead.... yep, the Borden case. The father was in the living room watching TV and the step-mother was in the guest bedroom on the floor.

Yay!! So I can see it! Thanks, Twins! Oh and in the book (I finished it last night), the daughter's name was Elizabeth (I forgot what nickname she went by) and was unmarried. Of course, she didn't live at home and she held a job. She went to her parents house on Sundays to have lunch and couldn't get in the back door so she used her key to unlock the front door. That's about all of the similarities.
