Amazon Warehouse deals

Post by Harry »

I received an email from Amazon today introducing a new feature called Warehouse Deals. It supposedly has used and re-furbished items for sale at reduced prices. I have no idea whether the prices are lower or the merchandise is what they say. Just passing the info along.

I did notice this book on the Black Dahlia killing. The price of $10.06 doesn't appear that low as there are used copies on Bookfinder.com for as low as $4.17.

Didn't see anything on that lady from Fall River.

You're right, Harry, Severed: The True Story of the Black Dahlia Murder can be found at a cheaper price, for sure. However, in my opinion, no matter what price one pays for this book, it is worth every penny. I have read several books on the Black Dahlia case, and personally I feel Mr. Gilmore's book is not only an excellent book, it is, to date, the best on this mind-blogging, gruesome, case.

My daughter just returned from Hollywood and visited the Black Dahlia's former apartment and the scene of the discovery as well as the house where that Doctor lived featured in Black Dahlia Avenger. I am not so sure he is the killer, but my daughter brought me back a flower blossom to press in the book about it from that house. Yes- poor girl was from Medford Massachusetts where they have a memorial plaque for her.
