Supposedly, you only have a one in 10,000 chance of living to 100. There is threfore only a one in 100,000,000 chance for both members of a married couple to live to 100 -- if that's true. (My guess is, it no longer is.)

Gloria Stuart, 99, attended the birthday party.
Dolores was a professional singer who toured with Bob in later years.

I actually met Bob Hope once. It was in the mid-90s and he was doing a book signing for a new book he had published about his USO experiences during World War Two. I believe it was at Tower Records/Books on upper Broadway near Lincoln Center. He looked VERY old. I believe his wife was next to him at the signing table. He didn't talk much, but I waited on line and shook his hand, even though I didn't buy a book! Afterward, I thought, My God, I just touched Bob Hope.
