Adams House in Boston
"Her (Lizzie's) favorite eating place in Boston was the Adams House." (The Lizzie Borden Sourcebook, compiled by David Kent, p. 355.)
Does the Adams House exist today? I found only an Adams B&B, are they the same?

HI Franz:
I think this refers to the Adams House Hotel on Washington St. in Boston. Here's a link with some info:

Wow, many thanks, twinsrwe, the pictures and the article are fantastic!
But what about "the Touraine" in Boston? I found nothing online. "... and if she changed her dining place, it was to go to the Touraine..." (idem).

I did a Google search for the Hotel Touraine; here are a couple of photos (Click on images to enlarge.):

Then I came across this gem, which I believe will surprise you.

Re: Adams House in Boston
You're welcome, Franz. I agree, our forum is an impressive source for information. The funny thing is, I didn’t do a forum search using the search engine at the top of the each page, and I had totally forgotten about ‘The Hotel Touraine’ thread. I actually found it this thread when I did a Google search on the internet!
The postcards that Augusta and Harry posted of the Hotel Touraine and it’s interior, are absolutely beautiful. The images show the interior of the hotel to be elegant, glamorous and very extravagance. Just the kind of place Lizzie would have loved, and felt she was untitled to.
I also ran across the following when I did that Google search...
The Lizzie Borden Sourcebook, by David Kent. Newspaper article titled, Lizzie Borden Left by Sister, page 329:
Miss Borden has seen Miss O’Neil act in Boston and New York, and has been entertained by the actress in Boston at the Hotel Touraine.

Yes, I knew you had either the actual book or the PFD file of, The Lizzie Borden Sourcebook. Both are a wonderful source for information, aren't they?
For other members, who are interested, here is a PFD copy of Kent's book, without the highlighting: http://tinyurl.com/hanacy2
